The Scottish TUC is a strong supporter of the Peoples Charter. This year's STUC in Inverness agreed for a representative of the Scottish TUC to take a seat on the organising committee for the Peoples Charter in Scotland.
The Peoples Charter was adopted into the Trade Council's work programme in 2011-2012 and at the annual trade council conference this year the alternative policies to austerity in the Peoples Charter had prominence through the weekend.
