This Conference calls on the EC of our union to actively campaign for all MPs supported by and supporters of Unite to publicly give their backing to the Peoples Charter as supported by the TUC at the 2009 conference

North East, Yorkshire and Humberside/ Sheffield 1 0823 branch

Union delegates to the North West TUC's annual conference in Liverpool have voted overwhelmingly to take up the People's Charter petition, vowing to campaign for its progressive policies in workplaces.

Greater Manchester Trades Council Association activist Stefan Cholewska urged all trade unionists at the weekend to take up the charter's demands for "a fairer Britain - not a bankers' Britain."
