Support builds for People's Charter

Union delegates to the North West TUC's annual conference in Liverpool have voted overwhelmingly to take up the People's Charter petition, vowing to campaign for its progressive policies in workplaces.

Greater Manchester Trades Council Association activist Stefan Cholewska urged all trade unionists at the weekend to take up the charter's demands for "a fairer Britain - not a bankers' Britain."
